Dramatically positioned high above Dollar Glen, Castle Campbell was once home to the Campbell Earls of Argyll. The castle's history has links to famous figures, including John Knox and Mary Queen of Scots.
The fortress is home to one of the best-preserved tower houses in Scotland, dating back to the 1400s.
Exploring the castle today, you can discover the attractive terraced gardens overlooking views down the glen, the cobbled courtyard, and the visitor center.
Occasionally, the site will close due to adverse weather conditions, so do keep up to date by checking the Historic Scotlands closer page for updates.
